ASX Company News: TMA Group Secures Chinese Traffic Ticket Contract

Friday, July 16th, 2010

Directors of TMA Group (TMA) advise that our subsidiary, Mark Sensing Shanghai Thermal Paper Products Co Ltd, has signed a Co-Operative Extension Agreement to provide infringement notices to the traffic police in a major city in China.

The agreement means that Mark Sensing Shanghai is the only authorised manufacturer of the new special infringement notices for the traffic police in that city, which will replace the current handwritten infringement notices. This program is being used as a testing ground for the new infringement notices and should they prove successful, would bode well for their implementation in other areas of China.

The agreement represents approximately 12% of additional revenue per annum for Mark Sensing Shanghai.  Anthony Karam, Managing Director of TMA, stated: “The contract represents a significant opportunity for our business in Shanghai and opens up a further avenue for expansion in the production and printing of secure thermal paper applications. The awarding of the contract will make a substantial improvement to the performance of Mark Sensing Shanghai for FY11 onwards.”
