  • Monadelphous Secures $70 million BHP Contract

    Leading Australian engineering company Monadelphous Group Limited (MND) today announced it has secured a significant contract with BHP Billiton Iron Ore for major works associated with the Rapid Growth Project 5 in the north west of Western Australia. This package of work at Yandi is valued at approximately $70 million. The contract includes structural, mechanical and piping works for the supply, pre-assembly and installation of the stockyard and train load out facilities and modifications to the existing Ore Handling Plant 2 (OHP2). Project works will commence immediately with substantial completion scheduled for the third quarter of calendar 2010.

    Monadelphous Group Ex Dividend on 31/8/2009

    Monadelphous Group (MND) will go ex dividend on 31/8/2009. The current dividend payment is 44.0 cents and it is 100% franked. The record date is 4/9/2009 and the dividend will be paid on 11/9/2009. Based on the full year payment the dividend yield is 5.5%.

    Monadelphous Group Secures $170 million Contract

    Monadelphous (MND) announced it has secured a $170 million contract with Woodside for major works associated with the $12 billion Pluto Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Project in the north west of Western Australia. The contract includes structural, mechanical and piping works for the installation, erection and precommissioning of the plant Offsite Utilities and Acid Gas Removal Unit (AGRU). Project works will begin immediately with completion scheduled for the second quarter of calendar 2010. 

    Commenting on the new contract Managing Director Rob Velletri said “the work awarded on Pluto is a landmark win for Monadelphous. We are very pleased Woodside has chosen us as a key partner on this prestigious project. This win strengthens our position in the oil and gas sector and will enable us to capitalise on the pipeline of LNG projects ahead.”  “Together with other projects announced since October 2008, this brings the total new construction contracts awarded to Monadelphous to approximately $500 million and further strengthens the company’s forward workload for the 2009 / 2010 financial year.”

    Monadelphous Group Secures Another $100 million of Contracts

    Leading Australian engineering company Monadelphous Group Limited (MND) today announced  it has  secured  contracts  with  a  combined value of $100 million in the aluminium, coal and iron ore markets with major customers BHP Billiton and Rio Tinto.  The majority of the contracts are in central Queensland. In  a  first  for  the  company,  Monadelphous  will  be  working  on  two  dragline  shutdowns  for  BHP Billiton  Mitsubishi  Alliance  (BMA)  at  its  Blackwater  coal  mine  in  the  Bowen  Basin. Also in the Bowen Basin, the company has been awarded a contract to fabricate and construct a radial stacker for BMA’s Peak Downs coal mine. In Gladstone, Monadelphous has been awarded a package of work to install an Automated Alumina Delivery System and associated infrastructure as part of Rio Tinto’s Boyne Smelter Development Project. The  company  has  also  received  a  notice  of  award  from  Rio  Tinto  for  construction  of  a  Coal Handling Preparation Plant (CHPP) and associated coal handling plant as part of its Clermont Mine Project. In Western Australia, Monadelphous has been awarded a contract with BHP Billiton Iron Ore for structural and mechanical pre-works at Nelson Point as part of its Rapid Growth Project 6. All projects are scheduled for completion in the second half of calendar 2009, except for the work at Boyne Smelter which at this stage is expected to end in second half of calendar 2010.
