ASX Company News: UGL Secures $190 million Of New Contracts

UGL Limited (UGL)  announced that it has successfully secured approximately $190 million in new contract wins and renewals with various government, banking and corporate sector clients to deliver key integrated property and facilities management services in Australia and New Zealand. Key contract highlights include: a three year renewal of the integrated property and corporate real estate services contract with the National Australia Bank; a  four year extension of the property services contract for the Commonwealth Owned Overseas Estate as represented by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade; a two year renewal of the facilities maintenance services contract with the Sydney Airport Corporation Limited; a new five year contract with the Department of Infrastructure & Transport for the delivery of property and accommodation services; and a new contract for IHG (Intercontinental Hotels Group) Australasia for the implementation of energy saving initiatives including building management systems, hotel room control systems and lighting.

ASX Company News: Transfield Services Awarded $132 million In New Contracts

Transfield Services (TSE) announced that it has been awarded a combined A$132 million worth of work across its Australian operations. The contracts include: a new five-year contract with QGC to service its Surat Basin coal seam gas assets in southern and central Queensland. The first contract under this agreement is the refurbishment of 191 well-site processing units, including de-commissioning, replacement and re-commissioning of vessels, pipe work, electrical and control instrumentation. A new two-year A$8 million contract awarded to Transfield Services subsidiary, Easternwell, for well servicing at Arrow Energy’s coal seam gas operations in the Darling Downs region in Queensland.  A $50 million agreement with Qenos to conduct major shutdowns at its Altona and Botany manufacturing sites during 2012 and 2013.

A new agreement with Jan De Nul to undertake mechanical trades for dredging activities in North Western Australia. A new agreement with Toowoomba Regional Council in Queensland to construct wastewater treatment infrastructure. The contract, secured as part of a joint venture with Monadelphous, includes the construction of new sewage pump stations, pressure and gravity sewer mains, and a sludge clarifier at the Mt Kynoch Water Treatment Plant.

ASX Company News: Transfield Services Secures Two Defence Force Contracts

Transfield Services (TSE) has secured two defence industry contracts worth a combined A$130 million in South and Western Australia. Under a one-year A$40 million extension to its five-year contract with the Defence Support Group it will continue to provide Garrison Support Services to more than 35 sites across Western Australia. It has also secured a new three year A$90 million contract with the Department of Defence to provide Comprehensive Maintenance Services, which includes Base Support Services at Defence Establishment Woomera in the South Australian region. This contract has extension options of up to a further three years, with a value of up to an additional A$75 million, and positions the Company well as the Woomera prohibited area is opened up to mining.

“These contracts reinforce our well established standing as a leading long-term provider of support services to the defence industry,” said Transfield Services Managing Director and CEO, Peter Goode. Transfield Services has provided Garrison Support Services to the Department of Defence for more than a decade in Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia. ASX Company News: UXC Limited Extends Three Major Contracts

UXC Limited (UXC) is pleased to announce that Utility Asset Management (UAM), a wholly-owned Business Unit of UXC Limited, has recently been awarded major contract renewals.   The combined values of the three contracts is estimated to be up to $40 million and are centred on asset creation and maintenance services, a core business for UAM.  The renewal of these contracts brings the forward value of UAM’s contracts in hand to over $120 million.

Two of the contracts are in the electrical asset maintenance space, one of which is for the installation and maintenance of overhead service lines across all areas of the Energex distribution network. Energex is a Queensland Government-owned electricity distribution business, which is based in and around the Brisbane CBD and surrounding area. The rollover contract has commenced and expires in September 2012.

The second electrical contract rollover is for pole reinforcement across the Western Power distribution and transmission networks. Western Power is a Western Australia Government owned electricity business. This contract has commenced and expires in June 2012.

The third contract is in the telecommunications space, and is for Telstra’s Aerial Network Maintenance throughout Australia.  The scope of work is mainly associated with pole inspection, reinforcement and  relocation, along with other minor maintenance, on the overhead assets. This contract has commenced and expires in July 2012.

ASX Company News: Leighton Awarded $350 million Telstra Contract

Thiess Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leighton Holdings (LEI) will benefit from a major five year Telstra contract awarded to Silcar, a joint venture company between Thiess Services and Siemens Ltd. Under the new contract, Silcar will provide Network Integrity and Facilities Management services for Telstra’s exchanges and assets nationwide under a five year agreement estimated at $350m. Silcar will undertake asset management and maintenance on Telstra’s network facilities that support its telecommunications network, including critical infrastructure such as standby power, energy and cooling systems.

Thiess Managing Director David Saxelby said the contract reaffirmed the working relationship between the two organisations was built on proven performance. “Silcar’s strong relationship with Telstra has grown over more than 10 years and this contract recognises Silcar’s advanced and reliable capabilities,” Mr Saxelby said. ASX Company News: Transfield Services Secures Walmart Contract

Transfield Services (TSE) facilities management subsidiary USM has secured a new one-year contract   currently valued between US$85 million and US$100 million, to deliver exterior facilities maintenance services to over 4,000 Walmart stores across America with a conditional option for a second year. USM has also been awarded a one-year renewal of the existing snow and ice removal contract. Together, the two contracts are currently estimated to be worth US$130 million per annum. USM will provide a wide range of services, including landscaping (estimated to be 25% of total work), snow removal (35%), parking lot maintenance (35%) and water reclamation pressure washing (5%).

ASX Company News: UGL Limited Secures $500 million Esso Maintenance Contract

UGL Limited (UGL) announced that it has, in a 50:50 joint venture with KAEFER, been awarded a new seven year General Maintenance Services and Field Managed Modifications contract with Esso Australia, valued at approximately $500 million. The multi-disciplinary maintenance and  inor project services to be delivered include mechanical, electrical and instrumentation, scaffolding, painting, insulation, civil, procurement and planning services. The integrated services contract covers a number of Esso’s operating facility locations in Victoria including 21 offshore oil and gas processing platforms, 2 onshore plants, a marine terminal and onshore pipelines.

Neptune Marine Services Secures Additional Gorgon Contract

Neptune Marine Services Ltd (NMS) today announced that it has been contracted by Boskalis Australia to provide a range of diving support services on the Gorgon Project in Western Australia. Additional to the Gorgon works announced in January of this year, the latest contract comprises the provision of diving equipment and personnel to the port construction works being undertaken by Boskalis.

Neptune’s Managing Director and CEO, Christian Lange, said the company was very pleased to continue its involvement in Australia’s largest resources development project. “Our involvement in the Gorgon Project is consistent with our focus on securing longer term contracts that provide Neptune with more predictable and stable revenue streams,” he explained.
