ASX Company News: Millipede Acquires Cool D’Fine

The Board of Directors of Millepede International Limited (MPD) is pleased to announce that the Company has entered into a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding with Cool D’Fine Pte Ltd. CDF and its group companies are one of the leading providers of marine and offshore heating, ventilation and air -conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration and mechanical ventilation systems in the Asia Pacific region. They are contractors specializing in marine HVAC projects and related product sale for the marine, offshore oil & gas industries.

The purchase consideration for the Proposed Acquisition based on a willing-buyer-willing-seller basis, shall be an amount equal to approximately A$14 million. The Purchase Consideration shall be satisfied by the issue of that number of post consolidation shares in the capital of the Company to the Vendors that is equal in value to the Purchase Consideration, determined on a pre -consolidated issue price of A$0.008 each which is thereafter consolidated on the same basis that other shares in the capital of the Company are consolidated with shareholder approval, so that they are deemed fully paid at an issue price of at least 20 cents each.

ASX Company News: BSA Limited Secures HVAC Contract On Fiona Stanley Hospital

BSA Limited (BSA) is very pleased to announce that it’s Building Services Division, Triple ‘M’, has secured from Brookfield Multiplex the contract for the provision of HVAC Services for Buildings B and Y at the $2 billion Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) project at Murdoch in WA.

The construction of FSH is WA’s biggest infrastructure project and in dollar terms it is th largest single HVAC subcontract for any type of project ever to be let in Australia with an end value for the Mechanic Services in excess of $130M. When it opens in 2014, the 643 bed Fiona Stanley Hospital will be the southern metropolitan area’s major tertiary hospital,home to a major trauma centre and the  State burns service. It will offer cancer; paediatric; radiology; renal transplant and dialysis; obstetric and neonatology services; and replace Fremantle Hospital as the primary emergency ca hospital in the south.

Group Managing Director of Triple ‘M’, Mark Lowe, said “The senior management team made two important strategic decisions in 2007, the first being to expand our geographical footprint into WA and the second was to increase our focus in the Health, Medical Research and Institutional Buildings markets. The award of FSH along with Orange and Liverpool Hospitals in NSW and the Queensland             Institute of Medical Research in QLD with a combined HVAC & Fire Services value in excess of $180M has justified the investment we have made in these growth sector of the Australian Building Services market”.

CBD Energy Wins $3 million Contract

CBD Energy (CBD) subsidiary, Parmac Air Conditioning and Mechanical Services Pty Ltd, has won a contract valued at $3 million. The contract is to provide mechanical services on a new office being developed at 101-107 York Street, Melbourne. The development comprises a five story office building above three levels of basement car park. It is being constructed to achieve 5 stars under the Green Star Rating Office Design v2.0 Scheme and a minimum 4.5 star NABERS Energy predicted base building design rating. Parmac’s work will involve compliance with these rating requirements. CBD expects this new contract and further development of the Parmac business to lead to improved performance for Parmac in FY10.
