The Environmental Group Limited (EGL) has been awarded a contract by Bovis Lend Lease for the design and supply of a Solvent Recovery Unit at Mulwala, N.S.W. This facility creates value by recovering useable solvent from a waste air-stream. The revenue the contract will generate to EGL is approximately $1.6 million and is scheduled for delivery by August 2009. The Mulwala order takes EGL’s Gas & Vapour Division’s order intake to in excess of $10 million since the beginning of the 2008 /09 financial year. Environmental Group Wins Contract with Sydney Water

Tuesday, May 5th, 2009

The Environmental Group Limited (EGL) has been awarded a contract to design, supply and install a biological odor control system for Richmond, N.S.W. by Sydney Water. Biological scrubbing systems are becoming more common in the sewage treatment industry.  Generally speaking, the technology uses microscopic bacteria to break down the compounds that cause odors and are environmentally friendly. This will be the second biological scrubbing system for EGL. There is potential for more installations as the technology gains acceptance.

The contract will generate approximately $0.5 million in revenue to EGL and is scheduled for delivery by November 2009. This contract is of significance given the stature of Sydney Water as a major water and waste water provider of world standing. Acceptance of EGL’s solution is recognition of EGL’s position as a leading supplier of advanced technologies for gas and particulate control systems in Australia, and of the professional approach and quality management systems that EGL strives to provide to its customers.
