    KarmelSonix Limited (KSX) is pleased to announce the expansion of its distribution partner network throughout the Nordic Region and France.

    In France, the Company has appointed Belateam SAS, a member of the Santeol Group, as its partner for all of France. The Belateam group has extensive experience in the respiratory and sleep field, offering healthcare solutions in the diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of patients suffering with conditions such as asthma, sleep disordered breathing and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).Today Belateam SAS supplies CPAP, non-invasive ventilation and oxygen to the French marketplace. With this broad range of respiratory products currently being sold, the KarmelSonix technology dovetails perfectly into this respiratory portfolio.

    In France, approximately 7% of the population suffers from some form of asthma. This equates to 3.5 million people.

    The focus for the Belateam group will be to sell the PulmoTrack into the hospital environment, and the WheezoMeterTM into both the private patient market and doctor’s surgeries. The Belateam group in conjunction with KSX will be developing and implementing a continuous revenue model for the ambulatory monitoring device, the WHolterTM. The WHolterTM allows the physician to obtain data relating to wheeze detection, cough detection, and respiratory rate in the patient’s home environment.

    In a further expansion to the Company’s global presence, the following distributors have been appointed in the Nordic region: Maribo Medica in Denmark, Somnivest in Sweden and Spira OY in Finland

    Maribo Medica specialises in equipment for the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory conditions including sleep apnea, COPD, and ALS. The Company commenced operations in 1996 and currently has a clientele that includes most of the country’s hospitals as well as lung and sleep clinics. Maribo Medica represents major companies in Denmark, including ResMed and Embla. Somnivest in Sweden also has specialist expertise in the respiratory field. Spira OY of Finland is a leader in its field providing service and products in areas directly related to the KarmelSonix products such as lung function testing, sleep apnea, oxygen therapy and critical care.

    ASX Company News: Imugene To Commercialise Animal Vaccines

    Imugene Limited (IMU) announced that it has signed a global agreement with one of the world’s leading animal health companies to commercialise its vaccines for pigs and poultry. The agreement signed with Novartis Animal Health, a business unit within the global Novartis Group, gives the company exclusive global rights to all of Imugene’s technologies and intellectual properties, including its vaccines and productivity enhancers. Novartis will pay the costs of developing products, and Imugene will receive an initial payment as well as milestone payments and royalties on product sales.

    ASX Company News: EcoQuest Secures Distribution Partner For Biodegradable Nappies

    An Australian company at the global forefront of biodegradable disposal nappy technology announced it had signed national retail distribution agreements for its range of nappies. Perth-based clean technology company, EcoQuest Limited (ECG), said it had contracted retail brokerage firms PSSM and Strikeforce WA as its sales agents throughout mainland Australia. Both companies have widespread expertise, including successfully negotiating sales and distribution agreements for other products with national retail giants such as Coles, Woolworths, Target, Metcash and IGA. PSSM will manage all negotiations and distribution of products for EcoQuest across the Eastern seaboard, South Australia and the Northern Territory. Strikeforce WA will undertake a similar role in Western Australia.

    EcoQuest – which is about to launch its environmentally-friendly “Little Takas” disposable nappy range that is more than 90 per cent biodegradable – revealed negotiations were already underway with a number of retailers throughout Australia to sell its revolutionary products.

    Island Sky Air To Water Machines Distributed In Australia

    Island Sky® Australia Limited (ISK) has announced that its unique, “air to water” making machines would soon be available in Australia, after signing a distribution agreement with the Waternauts LLP.

    Under the agreement, Island Sky® Chief Executive Officer Richard Groden, said the company would ship two container-loads of its Skywater machines to Australia, in late January, under a consignment arrangement with Waternauts. “The distribution agreement with Waternauts gives Island Sky a strong, strategic partner in Australia, allowing us to introduce our SkywaterTM machines to the local market,” Mr Groden said. “With support from Waternauts, the applications for our SkywaterTM machines range from supplying drinking water to homes, offices, and factories, to producing much larger amounts of water required for infrastructure projects right across the country.” Mr Groden said the consignment shipped to Waternauts would comprise 120 of the floor- standing SkywaterTM 14 machines and 8 of the larger, commercial SkywaterTM 300 machines.

    Waternauts current business is focused on water-filtration products. Its head office is in Victoria and has agencies in Tasmania, Darwin, Katherine, Tennant Creek, Alice Springs, Kalgoorlie, Mt Isa and Emerald, servicing 80 other towns Australia-wide. A SkywaterTM 300 machine is currently on display at a site outside of Melbourne, with two other demonstrations being planned for NSW and Queensland in 2010.

    Healthlinx Launches Ovarian Cancer Diagnostics In UK

United Kingdom Distributor Intus Healthcare has completed a commercial arrangement with major hospital and healthcare services group Spire Healthcare to process and market OvPlexTM in the UK from February 2010. The market potential for OvPlexTM in the UK is greater than 750,000 units. OvPlexTM is the most accurate commercially-available ovarian cancer diagnostic. The diagnostic is based on a simple blood test that women can request from their doctors. The launch in the UK is the first time the OvPlexTM diagnostic will be available outside Australia.

    Uscom Heart Monitor To Be Launched in UK

    Uscom (UCM) today informed shareholders that Spacelabs Healthcare intend to launch Uscom in the United Kingdom market on 1 October 2009. As part of their global distribution agreement with Uscom Ltd, Spacelabs Healthcare are planning the product launch of the USCOM 1A into the UK.     Acrux To Distribute Product in South Africa
