ASX Company News: Clough Secures Wheatstone LNG Jetty Construction Contract

Engineering and construction company Clough Limited (CLO) announced that the BAM Clough Joint Venture has been awarded a contract by international oil and gas service company Bechtel, for the design and construction of the Chevron-operated Wheatstone Project LNG product loading facility and tug berths near Onslow, Western Australia. The contract is valued at approximately A$400 million.

The scope of work includes the design and construction of a 1.2 kilometre jetty with operations platform, a product loading platform with a single LNG and condensate load out berth, and associated piping modules and piping installation. At peak, the contract will result in approximately 200 jobs, the majority of them in Australia. This includes 15 in the Pilbara region, 90 in Western Australia and 30 elsewhere in Australia. Engineering, procurement and planning work for the project will commence in February 2012 with construction activities on site scheduled to start third quarter 2013. The project is scheduled for completion in fourth quarter 2016.

ASX Company News: Clough Secures $140 million LNG Project Contract

Engineering and construction company Clough Limited (CLO) announced that the BAM Clough Joint Venture has received a Letter of Intent (LOI) from JGC Corporation, KBR and Chiyoda Corporation joint venture (JKC JV) for a contract valued at $A140 million. The scope of work involves the design and construction of the Ichthys LNG Project Module Offloading Facility (MOF) near Darwin, Northern Territory. The MOF will be constructed as part of the INPEX-operated Ichthys LNG facility being developed in Darwin. It is a key facility that will be used to offload modules being supplied under other subcontracts to assemble the LNG liquefaction plant. Under this LOI, expenditure is limited for BAM Clough to the commencement of engineering, procurement and planning work for the project. Construction activities for the MOF are scheduled to commence in early 2013 with MOF project completion anticipated in early 2014. At peak the MOF project will employ a workforce of 130.

ASX Company News: Clough Secures $145 million Of Contracts For PNG LNG Train

Engineering and construction company Clough Limited (CLO)  announced that the Clough Curtain Joint Venture (CCJV) has received work orders worth approximately A$145 million associated with the PNG LNG Upstream Infrastructure contract. The PNG LNG Project is an integrated development that includes gas production and processing facilities, onshore and offshore pipelines and liquefaction facilities. Participating interests are affiliates of Exxon Mobil Corporation (including Esso Highlands Limited as operator, 33.2 percent), Oil Search Limited (29.0 percent), National Petroleum Company PNG (PNG Government, 16.6 percent), Santos Limited (13.5 percent), Nippon Oil Exploration (4.7 percent), Mineral Resources Development Company (PNG landowners, 2.8 percent) and Petromin PNG Holdings Limited (0.2 percent).

ASX Company News: Clough Awarded Contract Extension By ConocoPhilips

Engineering and construction company Clough Limited (CLO) announced that Clough AMEC has been awarded a two year contract extension by ConocoPhillips to provide operations and maintenance services to the Bayu-Undan facilities located in the Timor Sea. The contract extension has an estimated value of AU$100 million.

Clough AMEC is an incorporated joint venture established to provide engineering, operations and maintenance services to clients in the Australasian hydrocarbons industry. The joint venture has provided operations and maintenance services to the Bayu-Undan facilities since July 2004.

ASX Company News: Clough and Downer Awarded Engineering Contract

Engineering and construction company Clough Limited (CLO) announced that the Downer Clough Joint Venture (DCJV) has been awarded an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) contract by CSBP Limited for the Ammonium Nitrate/Nitric Acid Plant Number 3 (NAAN3). DCJV is a 50:50 joint venture between Clough and engineering and infrastructure management services group, Downer EDI Limited. The scope of work for the ECI phase involves a detailed review of current engineering and procurement documentation in collaboration with CSBP, to establish an execution plan and budget for the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) phase of the NAAN3 project which forms part of CSBP’s wider ammonium nitrate expansion proposed for its site in Kwinana, Western Australia.

Successful completion of the ECI phase of this project will position Downer Clough for the EPC phase, which has an initial estimated value of approximately $200 million. ASX Company News: Clough Limited Sells Offshore Division

Clough Limited (CLO)  announced that it has agreed to sell its offshore Marine Construction Division to SapuraCrest Petroleum Berhad, a company listed on the Malaysian stock exchange, for gross proceeds of approximately AUD127m in cash. The companies have entered into a conditional Master Sale and Purchase Agreement with certain conditions precedent. Clough’s offshore Marine Construction Division includes the derrick lay barge, Java Constructor, and associated marine construction equipment. Also included will be Clough’s interest in the Clough Helix Joint Venture, which operates the chartered Normand Clough vessel, and its investments in specialist engineering businesses, OFI and Peritus. Relevant contracts including the Chevron Gorgon Domestic Gas pipeline project are proposed to be novated. Post transaction the division will continue to operate from Perth with a continuing focus on both the Australian and regional markets. Clough will continue to provide a number of back office services to the business for a period of two years. The sale will see Clough exit the asset intensive offshore marine construction market.

Our results have been lumpy in this division and consistency requires scale, flexibility of assets and broad geographic coverage. ASX Company News: Clough In Discussions Regarding Marine Business

Further to the article in today’s Financial Review, engineering and construction company Clough Limited (CLO) confirmed that it is currently in discussions with SapuraCrest Petroleum Berhad (SapuraCrest) regarding its Marine Construction business.  These discussions may result in a sale transaction, cooperation and/or other business arrangement.

Whilst the parties continue to make good progress with their discussions, no binding arrangements have been entered into and there is no assurance that any transaction will ultimately be agreed or consummated with SapuraCrest or any other company. Clough will provide further updates to the market on these discussions as appropriate.

ASX Company News: Clough Secures $25 million Oil Search Contract

Engineering and construction company Clough (CLO) today announced that Clough AMEC, an incorporated 50/50% joint venture between Clough and AMEC, has been awarded a cost reimbursable contract valued at approximately AU$25m, to provide construction management and execution services for the rejuvenation of Oil Search Limited’s Kumul Marine Terminal. The terminal is located approximately 40 kilometres off the southern coast of PNG and exports crude oil via tanker offloading facilities. The scope of work includes construction management, pre-mobilisation preparation and project materials staging prior to offshore implementation. The offshore execution will involve supervision and management of trades labour. The onshore preparation component has commenced and will run through until the end of 2011. The offshore work will last approximately four months with project completion planned for April 2012.

ASX Company News: Clough Secures Indonesian Contract

Engineering and construction company Clough Limited (CLO) are pleased to confirm details of an offshore contract, awarded in December and referred to via an announcement made by the Company on 20 December 2010. Clough and partner PT Advanced Offshore Services have been awarded a contract by ConocoPhillips for remedial work located in the Natuna Sea, Indonesia. The scope of work involves a mooring buoy, mooring chains, risers and umbilicals, in water depths of approximately 90 metres. These operations shall be diver-assisted and carried out from Clough’s derrick lay barge, Java Constructor. Preparatory work and offshore mobilisation has commenced.

ASX Company News: Clough Receives $300 million Contract For Gorgon Project

Engineering and construction company Clough Limited (CLO) announced that Chevron Australia has entered into a contract valued at approximately A$300 million with the Clough Sea Trucks Joint Venture (CSJV) for the Domestic Gas (DOMGAS) scope of work on the Gorgon Project. CSJV is a joint venture between Clough and Sea Trucks Australia established for the purpose of tendering and executing a variety of offshore works on the Gorgon Project. Participating interests vary from scope to scope. The work involves the transportation and installation of approximately 90kms of 20 inch pipeline, both offshore and onshore, from Barrow Island to the Dampier Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline. Clough will carry out project management and installation engineering (including HSE, quality and quarantine management) from their headquarters in Perth.
