    • ASG Group Secures $13m Broadband Contract

    IT services provider ASG Group (ASZ) is pleased to announce that it has signed a contract to provide IT services to the Department of Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy (DBCDE).

    The contract is to provide services for an initial 3 year term, with 3 extension options of 1 year each. The contract is valued at up to $13m over 6 years, plus additional project services. Under the terms of the contract, ASG Group will deliver a comprehensive range of IT services to DBCDE and will also provide Managed Voice Services capability. This contract demonstrates the growth ASG has enjoyed in providing services to the Federal Government and underlines the Company’s strong position ASG holds in the Federal Government sector. ASG Group has now secured three major contracts in the second half of the 2010 financial year with a total value of more than $71 million.

    ASG Group Chief Officer Sales and Strategic Operations Murray Rosa said the contract was a significant win for ASG. “This contract win highlights the Department’s satisfaction with the flexibility and responsiveness of ASG Group’s proposed services and the confidence of the Department to include Voice Services capability,” said Mr Rosa. “ASG Group is particularly pleased to be offering this extended capability in the Managed Voice area and we will allocate additional resources to the Department including End User Support, Mid-Range Infrastructure, Voice, Network and Cross Platform Services. “This contract win was secured against strong competition and confirms ASG Group as a leading provider of IT services to Federal Government departments.” The contract brings the total of contracts won since January 2010 to approximately $71m.

    ASG Group Secures IT Contract With WA Electricity Provider

    IT services provider ASG Group (ASZ) is pleased to announce that it has signed a contract to provide IT services to Western Australian electricity utility Western Power Corporation. The $35 million contract is to provide services for an initial 5 year term, with 2 extension options of 1 year each. Under the terms of the contract, ASG Group will deliver a comprehensive range of services to Western Power including Data Centre facilities, Mid-Range Infrastructure, Network and VoIP Managed Infrastructure Services. Western Power is responsible for the distribution and transmission of electricity in the South West of Western Australia, connecting electricity to 965,000 homes and businesses each day.

    ASG Group Secures $23 million WA Education Contract

    IT Services provider ASG Group (ASZ) is pleased to announce it has secured a contract to provide additional IT services to the Department of Education in Western Australia. The contract provides for a 3 year term with two one year extension options with a total contract value in excess of $23 million. ASG will provide Oracle Applications Management, Database Administration and Server Operations for all critical corporate applications including HR/Payroll and Finance. Under the terms of the contract, the Department has the discretion to appoint ASG as its key Corporate and Enterprise Applications partner. In this role, ASG will provide additional services for mission critical systems including Managed and Project Services, Applications Support, Enhancement and Database Administration of selected Oracle Stack applications including the Oracle Student Learning (OSL) application currently installed at 300 schools across Western Australia.

    ASG Group Ex Dividend On 17/9/2009

    ASG Group Limited (ASZ) will go ex dividend on 17/9/2009. The current dividend payment is 4.5 cents and it is 100% franked. The record date is 23/9/2009 and the dividend will be paid on 6/10/2009. Based on the full year payment the dividend yield is 5.7%.

    ASG Secures Qantas IT Contract

    IT Services provider ASG Group (ASZ) is pleased to announce that it has signed a new contract to provide additional IT services to Qantas. The 5 year contract was secured in conjunction with IT consulting company Capiotech and is valued at a total of $13 million.

    Under the terms of the contract, ASG and Capiotech will provide application managed services to support the airline’s financial reporting and planning applications. The project will be managed and delivered out of ASG’s Northern Region operation based in Sydney. ASG has worked with Qantas on previous IT projects. In 2006, ASG’s Northern office was contracted to provide IT systems integration and management services to support the airlines’ eQ Finance project.

    ASG Chief Officer – Sales & Strategic Operations, Murray Rosa said the joint win was a significant achievement for ASG and its partner Capiotech. “We’re pleased to have signed this contract with our partners Capiotech against very strong competition,” said Mr Rosa. “It is a testament to our service and delivery capability that we have successfully secured repeat business with one of Australia’s national icons.”“After working with Qantas for the past 30 months we’re happy to be selected to work with this customer again,” he said.
