  • US Markets Higher Yet Again On 11/3/2010

    The US markets closed higher once again.    The Dow closed  up 44 points  at 10,611, the  S&P500 was up 4 points or 0.4%  at 1150 and the Nasdaq was up 9 points or 0.4% at 2368.

    Gold and oil were virtually unchanged.    Gold settled even at $1108.10/oz  and crude oil was  up $0.21  at $82.30/bbl.

    US Markets Higher Again On 10/3/2010

    The US markets closed higher once again, but did fall back from earlier highs.    The Dow closed  up 3 points  at 10,567, the  S&P500 was up 5 points or 0.4%  at 1145 and the Nasdaq was up 18 points or 0.8% at 2358.

    Gold and oil were mixed with gold lower and oil higher.    Gold settled down $14.10 at $1108.20/oz  and crude oil was  up $0.35  at $81.84/bbl.

    US Markets Higher Again On 9/3/2010

    The US markets closed higher once again, but did fall back from earlier highs.    The Dow closed  up 12 points or 0.1%  at 10,564, the  S&P500 was up 2 points or 0.2%  at 1140 and the Nasdaq was up 8 points or 0.4% at 2340.

    Gold and oil were both lower.    Gold settled down $2.20 at $1121.80/oz  and crude oil was  down $0.61  at $81.26/bbl.

    US Markets Higher Six In A Row On 5/3/2010

    The US markets closed higher for the sixth day in a row after a better than expected employment report on Friday.    The Dow closed  up 122 points or 1.2%  at 10,566, the  S&P500 was up 15 points or 1.4%  at 1138 and the Nasdaq was up 34 points or 1.5% at 2326.

    Gold and oil were both higher.    Gold settled up $4.40 at $1137.50/oz  and crude oil was  up $1.58  at $81.50/bbl.

    US Markets Close Higher On 4/3/2010

    The US markets closed higher once again.    The Dow closed  up 47 points or 0.4%  at 10,444, the  S&P500 was up 4 points or 0.4%  at 1122 and the Nasdaq was up 11 points or 0.5% at 2292.

    Gold and oil were both lower.    Gold settled down $9.60 at $1133.70/oz  and crude oil was  down $0.38  at $80.49/bbl.

    US Markets Close Flat On 3/3/2010

    The US markets closed flat giving up early gains.    The Dow closed  down 9 points  or 0.1% at 10,396, the  S&P500 was unchanged  at 1118 and the Nasdaq was unchanged at 2280.

    Gold and oil were both higher.    Gold settled up $6.60 at $1144.00/oz  and crude oil was  up $1.16  at $80.84/bbl.

    US Markets Slightly Higher On 2/3/2010

    The US markets closed slightly higher giving up early gains.    The Dow closed  up 2 points  at 10,405, the  S&P500 was up 2 points or 0.2%  at 1118 and the Nasdaq was up 7 points or 0.3% at 2280.

    Gold and oil were both higher.    Gold settled up $19.00 at $1137.30/oz  and crude oil was  up $1.05  at $79.75/bbl.

    US Markets Higher On 1/3/2010

    The US markets closed higher.    The Dow closed  up 78 points or 0.7%  at 10,403, the  S&P500 was up 11 points or 1.6%  at 1115 and the Nasdaq was up 35 points or 1.6% at 2273.

    Gold and oil were both lower.    Gold settled down $0.60 at $1118.30/oz  and crude oil was  down $0.86  at $78.80/bbl.

    The US markets closed slightly higher.    The Dow closed  up 4 points or 0.1%  at 10,325, the  S&P500 was up 2 points or 0.1%  at 1104 and the Nasdaq was up 4 points or 0.2% at 2238.

    Gold and oil were both higher.    Gold settled up $10.00 at $1118.50/oz  and crude oil was  up $1.32  at $79.66/bbl.

    US Markets Closed Lower On 25/2/2010

    The US markets closed slightly lower after recovering from early falls following a weaker than expected jobs report.  The Dow closed  down 53 points or 0.5%  at 10,321, the  S&P500 was down 2 points or 0.2%  at 1102 and the Nasdaq was down 2 points or 0.1% at 2234.

    Gold was higher while oil was lower, with both posting an impressive rally into the close.    Gold settled up $11.20 at $1108.40/oz  and crude oil was  down $1.69  at $78.31/bbl.
