MOKO.mobi Limited (MKB) is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement with Celcom Axiata Berhad to provide Celcom customers with access to MOKO’s mobile social networking platform The technical integration has already begun and revenue is expected to begin in the September quarter of 2011. With 11 million subscribers Celcom is the largest mobile telecommunications operator in Malaysia with the widest 3G coverage in the country. Celcom is a member of the Axiata Group and a Vodafone partner. This is the third carrier agreement MOKO.mobi has secured in Malaysia and now means that MOKO will be available to approximately 98% of the total Malaysian mobile customer base.
MOKO Mobi Chief Executive Officer, Ian Rodwell commented “ This is a significant and potentially very lucrative agreement for MOKO, and following previous agreements with two Malaysian carriers, we now has access to 98% of Malaysia’s m obile phone users. “MOKO continues to increase the number of carrier partners and the Company is currently in the advanced stage of negotiations to further extend the MOKO’s reach into key target markets. MOKO’s platform will be integrated with the carrier’s billing and provisioning functions which presents significant opportunities to grow our global base of users”
