The US markets closed higher on Friday climbing sharply into the close. The Dow closed up 10 points or 0.1% at 10,012, the S&P500 was up 3 points or 0.3% at 1066 and the Nasdaq was up 15 points or 0.7% at 2141.
Gold and oil were both lower. Gold settled down $9.50 at $1053.00/oz and crude oil was down $2.94 at $71.19/bbl.
