    US Markets Lower On 26/10/2009

    The US markets finished lower again as the US dollar climbed sharply and commodities fell.   The Dow closed  down 103 points or 1.0%  at 9868, the  S&P500 was down 12 points or 1.2%  at 1066 and the Nasdaq was down 12 points or 0.6% at 2141.

    Gold and oil were both lower.    Gold settled down $13.60 at $1042.80/oz and crude oil was  down $1.82 at $78.68/bbl.
