Dear Members,
I have updated MDS Radio with a new recording covering the Dow, XJO and the ASX top 20.
Don’t forget to take a look at our trial intra day Analyser Scans too.

Hi This is Fil
Recently we have decided to trial a 1/2 hour update snapshot service for Analyser Scans. This service will initially only apply to the ASX for the next 2 weeks. We will snapshot trading data on a half hourly basis and make this available to the Analyser scans. This means that at 10:30, we will update the daily data, that the Analyser window uses, to have trading data for the ASX instruments for the day so far. Your Analyser scans will then use that data for their results. We will then update the snapshot of data every half hour until 3:30. At 4:30, we will remove the snapshot data in readiness for the final end of day figures.
Note therefore that any scan you run on the ASX, between 10:30 and 4:30 will run on this data and only this data. If you run a scan to see what the results might have been from the prior day, then you will need to use the Analyse Prior Date option to scan for yesterday.
You will notice a change to the Caption Text of the Analyser window after it has run for any scan. The date will now be today’s date and the time will also be displayed showing when the snapshot was taken of the price data. (This does not work, when the use cached results option is turned on.)
Please note that it is advised to turn the Cached Results option OFF when running scans during trading hours.
At the end of this two week trial, we will determine if/how we’ll continue to supply this service, based on usage and feedback.
We welcome any feedback/comments regarding this new service either by reply to this comment or in the forum.
