Online Stockmarket Trading Update

Hi all Calypso users from Fil

Note that Calypso is the test version of new features, before they’re released to Market Analyser users.

There is a new Trendline functionality introduced in the latest release of Calypso.
In any daily chart you can now select the TrendLine tool (The straight line between the Volume Tool and the PreAlerts Tool) and draw a Trendline above or below a price.

Clicking Left Mouse will fix this line on the Chart. Next Click Right Mouse somewhere over this line and select TrendLine Properties which should appear on the top of the list. The “Alert Crossover” box should now be enabled so that you can select this feature. If you wish this line to “Auto Extend” then select this feature as well. Click OK.

Next Right Mouse click anywhere on the Chart and chose the third option “Save Changes”.

Please note the following when drawing a TrendLine.

• Preferably draw the line from Left to Right.
• The line should be drawn in such a fashion that a “cross” can be determined. ie If looking for a upwards “cross” today, then the line should be above Yesterday’s CLOSE and Today’s CLOSE or below both for a downward trend.
• Due to the Beta testing of this phase of the project only, it will be necessary to draw and save as many Trendlines on charts as necessary, then quit Calypso.

This phase will become unnecessary in the next Calypso release.
By closing and re-starting Calypso all Trendlines should be found and reloaded into Calypso on startup.

Confirm this by opening up the “Tools -> Alerts” menu option from the main form. These alerts are currently set to Display message only but will later be configurable to all the standard Alert types.

Running Calypso as normal now will produce a Display Alert at any time that the Chart data determines that a line has been crossed.

Hi Everyone,

In the next release of the Market Analyser (Currently available for Calypso Beta testers), extra columns have been added in the Watchlist, which are detailed in the Online Help as well. These new columns include Turnover, Number of Trades, Last Trade Direction, Dividend Information and Trading Status for each instrument.
