  • New Table Font Settings

    Thursday, March 30th, 2006

As mentioned in a prior blog posting, the next release of the Analyser has a feature where less “white space” is wasted between rows where a table is used within the software. The video below gives some demonstrations on how this can be utilised and how some common traps can be avoided.

Note: You can upgrade to this version already by manually running your Updater Program.

    Monday, March 27th, 2006

    Hi,

I have updated MDS radio with a new recording which covers the ASX top 20 and some brief comments on the exchange related stocks SFE, ASX and CPU. Please be assured i am still a proud aussie, however, whilst i am in the US i thought i would introduce each recording with a US centric image.

    Please send comments to radio@mdsnews.com

    Best regards
    Leon Hinde

Note: An issue with the video recording, that was missing the end content, has now been fixed.

    Change to Table Presentation

    Thursday, March 9th, 2006

Along with the other work that we’ve been doing for the next release of the program, we’ve managed to sneak in one or two small feature changes. (Though more than 90% of the work has been on finding and squashing existing issues.) One such change is that the height of each row in any table will now adjust automatically to the height of the font that you use for the content of said table. This means that if you choose to use smaller fonts, then you should be able to fit more content on your screen.

Here’s an example of what’s now possible, when using small fonts.

If you would rather use larger fonts, then that’s fine. The height of each row will automatically adjust to fit the size that you’re already using.

We will start putting the files together for this patch on Monday, so if everything passes testing, then a new patch should be ready at some point next week. I will post another entry listing the specific changes at around that time.
